This year's autumn meeting took place in the Black Forest in bright sunshine. The host was our member Benjamin Kübel /FachWerk Schiltach. After working through various topics in the first part of the members' meeting at noon on Friday, we went on to the highly interesting guided tour of the Vogtsbauernhöfe open-air museum in Gutach, especially with a focus on historical timber construction methods
After dinner together at our accommodation Hotel Walkenstein, the second part of the general meeting was the election of the new board. Olaf Elias and Alexandra Sauer-Bug remain in office. We welcome Sabine Prenzel as a new member. We look forward to a constructive cooperation and thank Alexander Jerx for his commitment. On Saturday morning, Benjamin Kübel took us on a tour of his sample exhibition in Schiltach. There the group split up, while one half went to Schiltach for a guided tour of the town, the other was allowed to get a proper adrenaline rush at the Hirschgrund zipline course.
In the afternoon, everyone met at Benjamin Kübel's company premises, where the day was concluded with a rich barbecue buffet and the traditional auction after a guided tour of the company with a demonstration of the drying plant and saw.
