The spring meeting 2008 took place from April 25th to 27th at the colleague Olaf Elias Historische Bauelemente in Marwitz near Berlin.
Traditionally, Friday afternoon was dedicated to internal affairs, this time the guests were invited as well. The first part of the conference was a presentation round and the report "News from the companies". Again and again it is interesting to find out with which creativity and commitment the owners of the companies advance their businesses, but without also concealing the mistakes.
Another item on the agenda was the analysis of the UHB online presence. Numerous statistics illustrate the facets of the still very successful internet presence.
Another topic was the development of a component network in Germany based on the Swiss model, more precisely whether this organisation could affect the work of the association members at all and, if so, in what form.
On Saturday, the companies Historische Bauwerkstücke Bernau-Lindow, Antike Baumaterialien für Denkmalpflege und Restaurierung Rainer W. Leonhardt, Historische Bauelemente Olaf Elias, Marwitz were visited.
On Sunday there was a highly interesting and entertaining guided tour through the Ofenmuseum in Velten. Whoever wanted was invited afterwards by our member R. W. Leonhardt to visit his company in Berlin-Charlottenburg. Together with the visit of a small but fine Italian restaurant the side trip to Charlottenburg was a profit.
