Under the motto "30 years UHB" this year's spring meeting took place from 13-15.05.22 in Breisgau. The anniversary was the reason for our three members Florian Langenbeck/Freiburg, Sebastian Juhnke/Müllheim and Hubert Rupp/Niederrimsingen to put together an ambitious program.

Friday May 13

On Friday, the members met for the conference in the hotel "Altes Spital" in Müllheim. In addition to discussion and voting on current topics, students from the KIT Karlsruhe were guests who presented the Europe-wide research project "OPALIS" on the topic of "Reuse of building materials under the aspect of sustainability". The company Rotor DC from Belgium/Brussels has initiated this research project. The result should be the presentation of a Europe-wide, digital construction gyroscope collective. For GB, France, Belgium and the Netherlands all dealers are already recorded on opalis.eu. The students are now covering Germany and would like to use the structure and experience of the association to find dealers. The administration and maintenance of the website are supported by the EU, so registration is currently free of charge for the individual.

In the evening there was a social get-together at the business of Sebastian Juhnke with a traditional auction of brought objects with rustic tarte flambée from the wood oven.

Saturday May 14

Saturday morning all participants rode in bright sunshine with the e-bike in the direction of Staufen, of course there was a refreshment on the half in the form of a wine tasting in the winery Schlumberger in Dattingen. After a lunch break in Staufen, the bus took the group to the Langenbeck company in Freiburg, where a presentation was given over coffee and cake on shatterproof shipping methods for historic building materials.
Towards evening, the tour continued to Rupp - Historische Baustoffe in Niederrimsingen, where Hubert Rupp then gave a guided tour of the newly built company building and demonstrated the production of his historic floorboards. Those who felt like it could cool off in the nearby bathing lake, for all others there was a barbecue buffet with cool drinks and a campfire.

Sunday May 15

After each member had told the latest news from his company on Sunday morning, the meeting ended around noon. Once again, it was a harmonious, informative and thoroughly successful meeting. Thanks to the organizers.
