Not only traveling angels are lucky with the weather, also the UHB members landed a sun hit at the last meeting of the UHB in Mauenheim. While on Friday afternoon during the conference this was especially pleasant for the smokers in front of the "angel's barn", on Friday evening when visiting a historic saw and even more so the whole Saturday all participants profited from a bright sunshine during the visit program.

On Friday afternoon UHB board member Florian Langenbeck presented the current planning status for the joint trade fair presence at the "denkmal" in Leipzig. Nine member companies of the UHB will present their company to the specialist public and interested building owners with stands between 2.5 and 15 square metres. Currently a small area in the large block of the UHB is still available, two further attractive areas in the immediate vicinity are currently still reserved for the UHB.

Thomas Borghoff, who together with his employees carries out the communication for the UHB in the run-up to the trade fair and the auction, explained to the members the strategy pursued since last autumn of seeing the auction as a marketing event. Together with the joint trade fair presence, it is intended to promote the public perception of the UHB and its members as an efficient industry with interesting people and materials.

With this in mind, H. Christoph Freudenberger formulated this year's participation in "denkmal" as "the biggest wheel we have ever turned".

Before dinner at the Gaugelmühle in neighbouring Engen, the owner presented the reactivated saw of the turn of the century.

Saturday 21 May, 2016

As always, a visit programme was on the agenda first on Saturday. Already the common bus trip to the first appointment brought Bodensee view and impressive alpine panorama with itself, on the area of the Campus Galli then already one or other participant missed painfully the headgear. The coolness of the Archabbey of Beuron was greeted almost joyfully by everyone. In the late afternoon and early evening, the camp visits and the joint auction were characterised by a relaxed atmosphere after work.

Sunday 22 May, 2016

Sunday morning was again marked by intensive exchange. The topics ranged from load securing, the tax aspects of barter transactions, the permanent construction site baurat.de, the takeover of a company among colleagues to building applications and requirements for the construction of a new plant for handling historic timber.
