On a 20-year show site, directly on the Golden Road, about halfway between the imperial cities of Nuremberg and Prague, the association Via Carolina - Goldene Straße e. V., is recreating a travel station of Emperor Karls IV from the 14th century, using historical techniques and tools.

In the process, they are gathering knowledge that they would like to make accessible to the public, monument preservation and modern construction.

So far, this is done mainly through lectures and guided tours. In the future, the association will also offer craft courses.

On its website, the association documents and reports in detail its work and techniques and words and videos.
Really worth reading.
