The idea of offering restored monuments as holiday homes very close to their original condition has been inspiring UHB Managing Director H.Christoph Freudenberger since the 1990s. It goes without saying that historical building materials are used throughout the renovation of suitable properties. Only in this way can a harmonious, historical atmosphere be achieved, which is a prerequisite for the time travel promised to the guests.

The WP61 Railway Caretaker's House on the Black Forest Railway is such an object. Since 1873, it has stood alone on the still used railway line and bears witness to the special living and working conditions of the former keepers. It stands absolutely quiet in the Seelenwald forest above Triberg-Gremmelsbach.
