Historische Baustoffe Ostalb HBO will once again be present at denkmal, the leading European trade fair for monument preservation, restoration and renovation, in Leipzig in November.
Two years ago HBO presented itself for the first time at denkmal in Leipzig. Success gives you courage and the desire for more. This is why the Ostalb is once again flying its flag and presenting its wide range of products, its focal points, its specialist knowledge and many new developments since the last trade fair to the specialist public. In addition, some exciting articles from the HBO range will again be in the luggage for the auction at the stand in Leipzig.
Since the last denkmal, the company has continued to develop splendidly. The exhibition area has grown from the initial 3,000 m² to over 8,000 m². The team now consists of a total of 5 employees, including Martin Häberle, the owner and driving spirit behind HBO. In addition to the large range of historical luminaires, a new focus is on translocations.
In addition to the company building itself, an old half-timbered industrial joinery, which the HBO team dismantled in a neighbouring village and rebuilt in Söhnstetten on a green meadow, another historic building was added. The so-called "Russian School", an old school building with original cast-iron columns, wall panelling and beautiful wooden floorboards. The schoolhouse is a great location for parties. This has already been tested at the quarter finals of the European Football Championship by public viewing. And the next meeting of the UHB members will probably take place there as well.
The third translocation project is also already on the premises. An old half-timbered barn was dismantled - with great interest from the local population and the press. It has been neatly stacked and numbered and is now temporarily stored in the storage area. It is waiting for a buyer who wants to turn it into a house, restaurant or something "new". Of course, the HBO team is there to help and advise and is looking forward to meeting other translocation fans or friends of old buildings. The fair is also a great opportunity for this.
"Continuing to work into time", a quote from Wilhelm Wagenfeld, the great pioneer of industrial design, is a favourite quote from Martin Häberle. It really fits him and his company HBO perfectly - in several respects. The company's object, historical building materials, continue to have an effect on time through their continued use. And Martin Häberle and his team also continue to work. Now at the next denkmal. And then further, into time...
